Episodes

Episode One

Today we explore the upcoming referendum on the Voice to Parliament where we interview local Indigenous elder, Uncle Charles Pakana, Melbourne University Associate Professor in law, Scott Stephenson, and Indigenous education advocate and Reconciliation Australia board member, Sharon Davis.

The discourse on the Voice to Parliament has been mired in misinformation and confusion on what this change means for Australia.

This episode will attempt to provide clarity of this contentious issue.

Episode Two

Last year, Drag Storytime - a children's event where drag performers read stories to families at libraries and other locations - became a culture war battleground as far-right, religious and conspiracy groups organised protests to shut it down.

Libraries and the drag performers received a wide range of abuse, and even death threats, which led to the shutting down of some events for security reasons.

One of the librarian organisers, Roslyn, and a drag performer, Frock Hudson, talked with Conversation at the Crossroads about their experiences.

Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions referring to hate speech and mental health issues.
