Membership - Patreon

In 2023 we have introduced membership.

We made this decision for a combination of reasons including that your financial support assists Conversation at the Crossroads to grow, to offer richer events, to support those with barriers of access, and to enable us to provide a platform for members to connect with each other.

Membership is priced at $2 per month of individuals. If you have any problems subscribing, technical or financial, please email us at admin@crossroadsconversation.com.au.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Patreon is a membership platform that allows community members to connect with organisations.

It enables a direct and ongoing connection between creators and their supporters, aiding creators financially to producing content while offering patrons a closer and more engaging relationship with the creator.

  • Creators offer membership tiers with various benefits and charge patrons a monthly fee to access the platform.

  • As a patron, you are a financial supporter of the mission of Conversation at the Crossroads. You get to know that the work we do is in part owing to your contribution.

To thank you for this support you will also gain early access and behind-the-scenes updates, you will be asked for your thoughts on big decisions and plans, and you will access to a community of thinkers who you can converse with. The patreon page will be a space for on-going conversation and engagement.

  • We have several membership tiers —however, all access is equal, regardless of your selected tier.

Membership for individuals is AUD$2 per month.

There are higher priced tiers, for those who would like to contribute more.

Every month you will receive an email receipt for your payments on Patreon.

If you have billing questions, you can reach out to us or review Patreon’s details support posts.

  • Depending on your device and location, we accept payments via PayPal, Apple Pay, Venmo, and the following cards:

    Visa
    Master Card
    Discover
    JCB
    Diners Club
    3DS

    Eftpos/Credit Card

You can link an eftpos or credit card during the Patreon checkout process.

    Bank Account

You can also use a bank account as your funding source; however, you'll need to add it directly to your PayPal wallet.

Patreon’s payment portal does not allow for bank authorization directly. If you’d like to use a bank account for your PayPal funding source, you can add your account directly to your PayPal wallet.

Here's how to add your bank account to your PayPal wallet: How do I add a bank to my PayPal account?

Once you’ve added your bank account to your PayPal wallet, you can add PayPal to Patreon and select your bank account during the authorization process.

    Pre-paid Card

A pre-paid or gift credit card is typically not accepted for recurring subscription payments. For this reason, we recommend using a credit card issued and linked to a bank account.
