The International Day of Peace is observed annually around the world on the 21st of September. The United Nations General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace.

In Conversation with: Prof Allan Patience

Allan Patience is an honorary Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne. He has been a Professor of Politics and Asian Studies at universities in Australia and Asia. He has written extensively on the role of middle powers, and has called for a thorough reappraisal of the ANZUS alliance.


In Conversation with: Dr Sue Wareham

Sue Wareham is President of the Medical Association for Prevention of War – Australia (MAPW), a board member of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, and a board member of ICAN (the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) Australia.
