Style: Aim for an engaging and conversational style – and express your opinion! Limit acronyms, jargon, passive voice, and do not assume the reader knows the background of your subject.

The lede: Open your article with a provocative question or engaging anecdote.

Do not assume that all of our readers are Australian: While the bulk of our readership is

Australian, we are building our network internationally.

Include a brief biography: Please include 2-3 short sentences about yourself, at the bottom of your submission.

Comment: Readers on both our website and our social media channels will be encouraged to comment on the articles we publish.

Disclaimer: All submissions published on our website will be accompanied with the message, “the views expressed in this article are those of the author and not Conversation
